His tune "Why" shows exactly Why! His addictive hi hats and full on chest rattling bass lines flex tremendously, while the groove is so on point you cant sit still on this. A perfect tune to introduce Madd to the Tube10 camp! Flip it over for more subloaded action as Madd teams up with fellow Hungarian Matt-U to show what they can do. Well if your on a big rig you’d better watch out, this will rattle everything from your shorts to your girls bra. "It Sounded like a bomb was going off".
Ultrasound / Hizzle Guy - Coastal Dubs Part 1

The first in a series of Clandestine plates devoted to exposing the production talents of Brighton town. Presenting two producers destined to go a long way: Ultrasound and Hizzle Guy. Two very distinct takes on bass heavy 140bpm music, these tracks have been alternately blissing out and smashing up dancefloors around the world in recent months, so here they are for you to continue the trend. ULTRASOUND consist of two Brighton based DJ producers and a London based sound engineer. Between them these three have released a huge number of tracks across different genres over the years, DJ'd different styles of music in venues all over the shop, worked in record shops and are now behind the highly acclaimed "well rounded" label. For their first release as a production outfit Ultrasound have distilled Dubstep through a refined apparatus of trip-hop, soundsystem warmth, Berlin texture and sheer musical sensibility into something both unique and familiar. With big support from the leftfield of Dubstep and tastemakers like Belgiums Bunzero.
HIZZLE GUY is a young Brighton based DJ who along with his Gangoon Dubz crew has taken Brighton by storm with his raw and instinctive DJ style and tunes. We really can't overemphasize how much energy this guy has on the decks, and it transfers straight to his tunes. Dread is an absolute low slung monster of a tune in the rave, at once hype filled and drudgingly weighty, with a loping propulsion and gully vibe thats been sorely lacking from "dancefloor" dubstep of late. Think Slaughter Mob meets Cluekid and you're part way there. Already getting big support from names like Sukh Knight and Afterdark.
Kryptic Minds show they have many strings to their bow in the shape of this killer 2 track 12” on their own Osiris Music uk imprint.
X_Life Continuum shows the guys going in deep with hard synth manipulation, warm pads and haunting choir which glides in and out effortlessly through the mix. Best listened to in a dark room, with a massive sound system, for people who like to feel the bass rattling they’re chest!
Y_Wondering Why this is the yang of the flip, with a different feel altogether, in what only can be described as beautiful! With a skippy half time beat, and the sense of emotion from the off. As soon as the needle hits the edge of the record you know you are in for an emotional six minute journey. With a ghost like female vocal that glides through the track like a hot knife through butter. One for the head phones but also rocks the dance.
DJ support: Youngsta, Loefah, Mala, Headhunter, N – Type, Pinch, Distance. Mary Anne Hobbs.
We are very pleased to have him back on wax, demonstrating his progressions as he's has mastered his art. The lead track 'Chicken Foot' is a one for the clever stepper who likes his wobble to be little more deadly and refined in delivery. It's a banger alright but one with plenty of restraint and fine style. Opening pads chime a deadly warning before the wonky bassline thumps in, heavily grooved and heavily weighted. Sporadic conga riffs cut through on point, adding to the momentum generated by the no-compromise bassline. Hold out for the 2nd drop as it twists a new way round! Flip then for the equally deadly but more stripped down 'Shifty'. Perhaps not the most appropriate title ever conceived but a fine piece of heavy artillery nonetheless. Taking a 2005 Loefah sound (and supported by him for this very reason) and redefining it in a Clue Kid style. Excellent quality rhythm and bass music with a dark and unforgiving edge. Support from: Pinch, Loefah, Mary Anne-Hobbs, Plastician, N-Type, RSD and many more.
Bass is Maternal is the title track from the legendary original Smith & Mighty long player, eventually released on their own Three Stripe label in 1994 after lengthy delays. It is the manifestation of Smith & Mighty's proto jungle vision which came to dominate the mid nineties. U Dub is a more traditional dubbed steppers rhythm building to a break beat / junglist crescendo. This first 12" is fully dubstep compatible and has been recently revived by top selectors such as as Pinch, Shortstuff and Ben UFO. Both tracks essential for collectors and crucial to the Bristol sound system continuum jigsaw. More stone cold classics coming soon from the Unearthed series...
Where has the time gone?! Citrus keeps on going strong like a truck loaded with lemons. Dose is rattling up a storm of releases and this 12 isn’t slowing him down one bit. No time for head nodders here its neurofunk baby! "Say It Again" is another Dose infused rumbler that’ll keep you on your toes. Congas all the way and ready for the floor! A: Electrosoul System -- Ghost A long time stalwart of Camino Blue Recordings, Electrosoul System, returns once again fresh from work on his own "kos.mos" imprint and a whole host of other labels such as "Subtitles", "Hospital" or "Red Mist"."Ghost" brings back the trademark crisp production we know the Russian supremo for, creating for us here some of his deepest ever grooves. Smooth melodies cascade beautifully throughout, set to those all important dancefloor friendly beats. This one's a keeper! AA: Pete Voyager -- Long White Cloud’ Voyager makes a long awaited return to the drum & bass scene; with classics as "Hypersleep" or collaborations with DJ Rap under his belt not to mention his work for "Deejay Recordings", "Lucky Spin" or on "Good Looking Records", Pete Parsons is certainly no newcomer, he's justbeen taking a break and is as fresh as ever. He brings his sound to"Camino Blue Recordings" for the first time with "Long White Cloud", a track packed with a wonderful old school stepping break, smooth sub bass, glorious progressive keys and pads. Voyager is well and truly backon form here, and how glad we are to hear it when the music is this good.
In early 2009, Ramadanman was approached by the British Council to participate in a cultural project between the UK and Bulgaria. The Bulgarian public voted for a top 10 of their favourite 90’s Bulgarian pop songs, which were then offered to three UK producers to remix (the others being Hexstatic and Craggz & Parallel Forces). Ramadanman chose the Wickeda song "À íèå ñ Áîáè äâàìàòà ïèåì êàôå" ("And I and Bobby, We are Both Drinking Coffee"), and remixed it. The remix was premiered at a British Council‐organised club night in Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, and
beforehand, Ramadanman gave a remix workshop session to local producers. Wickeda are a Bulgarian rock band with a strong following. "À íèå ñ Áîáè äâàìàòà ïèåì êàôå" was a hit single from their first album Revolution which was released in 1999 and sold over 30,000 copies. Today, Wickeda continue to tour Bulgaria as well as Europe, with regular festival dates.
Atmospheric, refined, techy, funky and deranged are all accurate descriptions of this ever evolving masterclass in gloop. Beautiful digi bells, crisp clicks and clacks and a monster lead line all combine to work even the most demanding dancefloor. This tune will mix with UK Funky just as well as it does with techno and house. It features on the recent Geiom FACT magazine mix. http://www.sendspace.com/file/yydm34 In a manic attempt to fuse half step, electro booty bass, niche and primates into one coherent whole, Geiom came up with the delicious mongrel known as Bubbles. Wonky synths collide with tuff drum patterns in a tense, restless fashion which peaks with a kind of homage to the Midlands favourite underground genre, Bassline house. There’s a kind of psychedelic terror at the heart of this tune but its way too playful to ever become truly menacing….Both these tunes demonstrate the high standard of musical creativity that is coming out of Nottingham right now, but give no indication of an easy to identify style. Which is just how we like it! All the latest Berkane Sol developments will be showcased at our forthcoming head to head with the Blunted Robots – Fabric/October 9th.
Walk n Skank (an old Dancehall classic) has had a heavyweight Drum & Bass re-lick by Dj Devize & Shookz which has been tearing up dancefloors across the country. On the intro, Walk n Skank builds up with that classic dancehall feel to it accompanied by some pounding beats and classic Jah Screechy vocals which work you up to the breakdown. When the breakdown comes you’ll hear a classic vocal joined by a concrete bassline which is going to get you moving already… then it drops! The dirty pounding b-line, solid beats and catchy vocal hook will send any dancefloor into a mental state of emergency which is guaranteed to do damage in an arena near you.

Side AA: Dj Devize & Shookz – Say It All
On this double A side Dj Devize & Shookz supply something which is just a phenomenal piece of music. Say It All builds up all nice, trim and proper with solid beats which are amplified by nice sounding pads, trippy sound fx and a haunting vocal which lead you up to the breakdown. When the breakdown of this track comes you know something dangerous is going to happen! The long breakdown builds up with a dirty bassline straight outta the gutter teasing in and out, a haunting vocal which gets more and more intense and some mind expanding pads & sounds which build and build until, it’s ready to explode! The drop sees the gutter basslines mutating as it goes along the track, the beats pounding through the speakers and the pads and sounds just complimenting the track! This is a roller of the highest order, it’s seen a superb reaction on the floor which makes this vinyl a must for any serious DJ.

Both sides have been smashed on dubplate by the likes of : Dj Hype, Nicky Blackmarket, Mickey Finn, Hazard, Bryan G, Kenny Ken,
Dj Devize, Ruffstuff, Shookz, BBC Introducing, Kool FM and many more.
Driven by a dominant mid range riff and supported by energetic beats, this act of aural terror is typical c4c turning the screws to force confessions on the ‘floor. Scatter Brain - Simple hats and ominous pads are soon joined by percussive snippets and hellish bass overtones. The suspense ends just after a minute in whereupon the drop delivers a stark sonic image; choppy, fractured beats surround a raw bassline that sounds demonic. Will mess with your head just like the title says.
Diamonds Shine - Utopia

Approaching the 4th release, and with it's catalogue of unique artists, the snowball effect is in full motion for Breed12inches. After recruiting Russian duo Utopia back onto their successive 12” with another big release, the Breed12inches camp have now seen all eyes drawn to them, following huge play and support by some of the scene's major players. Breaking away from the moniker of ‘Lifted Music's sister label', it was only a matter of time before audiences and DJ's perceived Breed to be a rising label in its own right, one they also hope will be around for a long time. With BRD005 already in the final stages, and a handful of global promo mixes lined up to coincide with the release, it really is up and up from here for Breed12inches. Utopia return to the main stage of Breed12inches, following the incredible success of BRD003. The Russian duo, minus a member but equally as strong, follow up with `Diamonds Shine' and `Scan Me' - two more dancefloor smashers. Consistantly played by the scenes biggest, and featured thoroughly in various promo mixes and podcasts, Utopia are slowly becoming a name on the lips of the scene. Available on 12" and digitally MP3, BRD004 is an absolute must have. DIAMONDS SHINE - Hailed as one of the most original sounding tracks to be released this year, Utopia combine an elegant glistening melody with rolling drums and a stomach churning sub. Think a revamped '31 seconds', with more electro influence and high energy - all combined with a distinct sound and a taste of Russian vodka, then your halfway there. Originality at its best. SCAN ME - That trademark Utopia style is in full motion with 'Scan Me'. Big beats, a catchy melody with a club-shaking low end, the B side is yet another demonstration as to why Utopia are being lined up as the next big production force within Drum and Bass. Glitches, intelligent edits and a stomping kick-snare combination complete a solid 12" from Russia's greatest export.
Tommi is a Helsinki native and Samuli comes from a small village deep in rural Finland. The combination of their musical influences is evident in Clouds - both members share an interest in the DIY aesthetic often connecting all kinds of music made with passion, not brains. And passion is a trait that overlaps any genre or style boundaries, leading to music that is willing to break the mold. The Clouds sound is like a soundtrack to the invasion of earth by little and green, but dubwise, aliens. It's a fresh take on the standards of dubstep, combining elements from video games, experimental music and hip-hop with deep melodic meditations and dancefloor-shredding basslines. Always keeping it fresh, Clouds tracks rarely tread a path they've previously stepped on. This has been noted by many of the scene's top dj's, leading to Clouds being championed by people like Mala, Joe Nice, Geiom, Skream, N-Type, L-Wiz, Dj/Rupture, Mary Anne Hobbs and Tes La Rok.
Sickness from Goth-Trad on Mala’s label, with perhaps his best twelve to date. ‘Dark Path’ on the A is an exercise in dub technology, thick slabs of bass overlaid with eastern melodies and mad FX. Percussion and snares are treated with heavy delays, pinging around like auditory hallucinations, building a framework upon which to hang the wistful chords and gentle flute topline. The flip is just as involving, stabbing wind samples and off-kilter hats readying you for sub undulations, runnin beats and mental bendy midrange noises.
Instra:mental - Watching You

This release consists of two tracks from Instra:mental. Again, the A side contains the vocal talent of frequent collaborator dBridge, and for the B side they switch up the style into what can only be described as Dub Techno. a) Instra:mental ‘Watching You’ stands up to the quality levels set by Nonplus 001 and continues the fusion of original vocals, Detroit influenced chords and their trademark tight percussion. Ice-cold robotic vocals and heart-warming chord stabs will make the hairs on your neck stand on end listen after listen. This tune is a timeless piece of music that no amount of jargon can justifiably explain. If you like the recent output from these guys then you will love this tune. aa) Instra:mental ‘Tramma’ is a 4/4 offering made of elements from Dub, Techno and DnB but is hard to pigeonhole into any particular genre. For descriptive purposes well call it dub techno. Once again we can hear their influences from all things electronic, and here we have an example of the variance that we expect from Nonplus and a glimpse of the vision that Instra:mental have for the future of this label.
After arriving back on the scene in 2006 Instra:mental have fast gained a reputation for re-sharpening the cutting edge approach to making music. Taking influence from their love of electronica and incorporating it into a fresh and unorthodox style, they have managed to create a distinctive and inspiring sound. In 2009 they have decided to start their own label in order to give them a focused outlet for their music, and also the music of other artists who they feel are on the same path. Quality, longevity, freedom of expression and nonconformity are some of the ideologies behind their new label, Nonplus+ Records. a) dBridge ‘Wonder Where’: ‘Wonder Where’ by dBridge is a fine example of how the label means to continue. dBridge is hot off the back of his debut solo album "The Gemini Principle" in which he first gave us glimpses of a talent which he shares with his brother Steve Spacek as a vocalist. Since then he has been busy continuing to lay the foundations of his own respected imprint Exit Records. If his voice sounds familiar, perhaps you have heard the track "These Words" on which he featured on Martyn’s highly regarded debut album "Great Lengths". Wonder Where is quite unique in the way it is regularly getting played in the sets of DJs from many genres. Drum n bass dj’s such as Marcus Intalex, to soulfull house Dj’s like Benji B, and also Dubstep pioneer DJ Skream has regularly been finishing his sets with it. Dubstep legend Burial has also seen fit to include it in his upcoming DJ Kicks mix. This track is fast becoming an anthem among many different genres and is sure to be featured in many a dj’s sets for many years to come. aa) Instra:mental ‘No Future’: Instra:mental have chosen their own track "No Future" which is ironic considering they obviously have a very big future ahead of them. Already licensed to the highly acclaimed Commix Fabriclive.44 this track (and most of their music) manages to resurrect the ghost of early electronic music with the essence of artists such as Model 500 and the legendary Detroit techno movement of the 80s and early 90s. Using original hardware drum machines and synthesizers to create the analogue warmth and groove which was synonymous of those times, they bring elements back to the music which have been somewhat lacking in recent years and laced it with all the benefits of modern music making advancements. This track will be loved and cherished by those who appreciate good music and will play just as well in the comfort of your own home as it would in a packed out dance floor.
