To
work at a record shop you must have a passion for the music. It
is essential that you know your tunes and their producers plus whether
or not a record has the capabilities to rock a dancefloor. This
page will enlighten you on our friendly and knowledgeable staff,
who range from some of London's top DJ's and producers to just plain
music fanatics....
| Ewen |
Ewen
is probably best known as one half of the chart bothering
duo Beginerz, but he has produced for some of the leading
dance labels, such as Toolroom, Soul Love and G Club under
his Def E guise. When he is not managing the store expect
to catch him playing to some of the most prestigious dancefloors
around the world and running his 'Wax Habit' imprint.

| DJ En-i |
Real name Nicholas Hine, En-i began DJ'ing in 2002 playing UK
Garage in all of its forms.
However being a soul man at heart, he had made a natural progression
into the soulful and deep side of House music throughout his
career. When he isn't on either floor of the shop, you might
find playing in or around London, and running events under the
name of '2 Shoes'. Being one of the youngest on the DJ circuit,
and with a drive to always push himself to the next level, En-i's
name could be one you see for many years to come.

| DJ Cameo |
|
Cameo, aged 21, started DJing in 1995 playing house music
in local bars and clubs. Influenced by big UK producers Tuff
Jam he began to develop an ear for the sound of the underground.
He was then offered a regular slot on London's Taste FM (99.3),
which he still holds today and has since began working in
the UK Underground section of Uptown Records. He now DJ's
at many of London's top club nights (La Cosa Nostra, Licence
To Rave) and has various productions under his belt (Hi Grade). |

| Spencer Parker |
Spencer is currently working here and as a freelance A&R
consultant, ensuring that his record box is always full of the
latest tracks from the worlds hottest talents. Today, Spencer
continues to play worldwide with gigs in 2003 alone having seen
him visit Shanghai, Hanzhou, New York, Miami, Dubai, Bahrain,
Slovenia, Cork, Dublin and of course, Ibiza, where he was exclusive
resident at Café Savannah, Bora Bora and El Divino every
Sunday for Defected Records.
Spencer's style is best described in one word, UNIQUE! |
| Lee Mortimer |
Sleazy,
jackin', acid house with a tech-funk edge is Lees preferred
weapon of choice to get the crowds on the dance floor and it
is in this style that he is causing waves with on the production
side of things. Having moved on from the primitive software
of years gone by and gaining himself a hearty qualification
in Sound Engineering, big things are a-foot for the newcomer.
This claim is of course backed-up by none other than Derrick
Carter, Jesse Rose, Justin Long, DJ Heather, Mark Farina, Nic
Fanciulli, Bushwacka, Switch and more, all championing Lees
sound.

| DJ Switch |
Dj
Switch's career started in late 2002. His first play out came
only three months after buying decks. Since then he has played
all over London in venues such as Ministry of Sound (Smoove)
and Trap. He also reguarlarly puts on his own events under Switched
On. |
